GLI Case Study - Buckeye Union High School Varsity Softball Field


Project Description – The project required the renovation of a softball field that was originally built in 1959. The project required the conversion of a flood irrigation system into a pump controlled sprinkler system. Construction included the installation of 28 valve sprinkler system and connection to an existing pump system for the entire play area, ripping the existing field, importing soil and laser-leveling the soil to meet engineering approval. The installation of two batting cages and two bullpen areas plus the surrounding fencing and concrete work. The project also included the demolition of existing softball cages, trees, fencing and existing concrete. 

Firm's Role and Duties – As the construction general contractor, Green Landscaping and Irrigation was responsible for the installation of an entire sprinkler system, main pump system and property grading work, drainage work, field bases, infield landscaping, warning track area, asphalt removal and replacement, plus all required demolition on the project.
